I got this funky machine in a white elephant exchange at Christmas time and thought what I going to do with this thing? Turns out to be the coolest thing ever!
As a cyclist, I need fun and delicious treats for my long rides. But one can only have so many Gu packets before feeling meh. My treats also need to be gluten free and I prefer organic. Enter the Nuwave Oven.

Organic Fuji apple chips with a light sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar. I went very light on the sugar. These turned out so well!
Nuwave recipe:
Slice apples to 1/4 inch think. I used my mandoline
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar (optional)
Grease trays
Cook at 150 for 4 hours with oven part tented

Steak and potato
I made a grass fed steak and baked potato in my Nuwave oven! It's super versatile!
Steak recipe:
One inch thick steak
Salt and pepper to season the meat
Cook at 350: 6 minutes on one side. Flip steak over and cook for 5 minutes on the other. Serve.
Potato: poke holes in potato. Rub with olive oil and rock salt. Wrap in foil. Cook at 350 for 45 minutes.

Truffle potato chips
This is one of my faves!
Using the mandoline, slice potatoes into 1/8 thick chips.
Soak in a bowl of water for 30-60 minutes. This removes excess starch.
Pat dry and spray truffle oil on the slices
Sprinkle with truffle salt
Cook in Nuwave oven at 350 for 13-14 minutes with oven tented.

I've used it as a dehydrator. Dehydrated fruit is so much faster in this thing than a dehydrator machine.
Strawberries: 1/4 thick at 150 for 4 hours
Bananas: 1/4 to 1/8 thick at 150 for 4 hours
Kiwis: 1/4 thick at 150 for 5 hours
Pineapple: 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick at 150 for 8 hours
Jerky can also be done. I will do a separate post on the jerky.

Picture of the kiwi in its dehydrating process

Organic pineapple, dryed and enjoyed without all that extra sugar or sulfates.

Organic strawberries! Again, no extra sugar or sulfates! Super healthy and delicious!

Gluten free, organic and grass fed beef jerky! And man, it was good!

Close up of the delicious truffle chips. And they were a huge hit with my family.

Banana chips! I make these for Daisy Girl and I. So delicious, healthy and the perfect treat for us. Daisy girl really likes these and I know what ingredients are in it. It's nice to be able to make her dog treats, instead of buying something that has harmful ingredients in them.
I highly recommend getting one of these amazing machines. They are a little big, but they do sooooo much! From breakfast to dinner and pizzas and more. Worth the investment. You can find them at Macy's, amazon, and other big retailers.
-Enjoy!
