I'm I the midst of getting back to my bad cycling self and I don't always want to eat eggs for breakfast. I like to switch it up. Sometimes you just want some comfort food.
On my Whole Foods treck yesterday I came across a 2 for $6 deal! Gluten free Eggos. I was thinking hey! I haven't had an ego in years. So let's give it a whirl.

Check out that serving size! 2 waffles at 210 calories! The sugar is low. Yes, the sodium is a little high, but as I train hard, I sweat a lot. I need to replenish my salt, so this is a tasty option.
They have a lot of options. On the 2 for $6 deal, I got the regular one and a pumpkin spice one. They also have a chia and flax one, a berry one and more.
I toasted some up before my workout and it was perfect.

I like to use grassfed butter as it is so much better for you and it tastes amazing!

I also use organic maple syrup. This is pretty darn healthy also. At 200 calories per 1/4 cup...I only use about 2 tablespoons worth. So...delicious, organic, gluten free deliciousness.

Morale of the story...you can have your childhood Eggos without the guilt.
Eggos purchased at Whole Foods
Kerrygold purchased at raleys
Syrup purchased at Trader Joe's
Enjoy!
PS: the syrup is pretty awesome in coffee, in gluten free oatmeal with a dallup of organic peanut butter. Have fun!
